European Conference
of the German Business

17 and 18 September 2026

Pátio da Galé - Lisbon

A Resilient Europe - Economically Strong, Politically United, Globally Capable of Acting

Europe stands at a turning point.
Geopolitical tensions, technological disruption and an increasingly fragmented global environment require a new level of strategic clarity and economic strength.
With the European Conference of the German Business 2026, the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad, in close cooperation with the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), is creating a high-level platform for precisely this dialogue: How can Europe safeguard its competitiveness, unlock its innovative potential and at the same time remain politically united and capable of acting on the global stage?
A resilient Europe does not emerge from retreat, but from partnership - between business and politics, between the Member States, and between established industries and emerging technologies. It requires strategic thinking, decisive action and a clear economic policy agenda that reconciles growth, security and values.
Lisbon, as a bridge between continents and a dynamic hub of innovation, provides the ideal setting. Here, leading representatives from business, national governments and European institutions will come together to generate momentum, strengthen alliances and develop concrete perspectives for Europe's future.
The European Conference of the German Business is more than a forum. It is a strategic signal - for European cohesion, for economic responsibility and for global capability to act.
A strong Europe requires strong partnerships.

We invite you to help shape this dialogue.
